Platby mobilem jsou aktuálně velkým tématem a Raiffeisenbank již před rokem mluvila o tom, že se mu bude plně věnovat. Vlastní aplikace pro placení na Androidu měla podle původních plánů dorazit už v první polovině letošního roku. RB ale nestíhá, jsme totiž pár dní na půlkou a banka aplikaci stále jen interně testuje. Správci její facebookové stránky však uvádějí, že aplikace pro Android bude dostupná brzy, v řádu týdnů. Raiffeisenbank přitom nevylučuje, že by v budoucnu paralalně nenabídla i univerzální řešení přes Google Pay. A co se týče Apple Pay, tam už se proces ze stavu „jednou to bude“ změnil na „spuštění očekáváme na podzim 2019“.

Současný běh Google Pay a vlastní aplikace pro Android není v Česku ničím výjimečný, podobným kolečkem si procházejí skoro všechny velké banky. Komerční banka ale po adopci Google Pay zrušila svou aplikaci po čtyřech měsících, Česká spořitelna té své vystaví stopku po třech měsících. A ČSOB už také avizovala, že až rozjede Google Pay (v druhé polovině 2019), tak aplikaci NaNákupy zřejmě ukončí. Vlastní aplikaci má rovněž Air Bank, kde sice zavedení Google Pay nevylučují, ale zároveň se nikam nehrnou.

Raiffeisenbank mimochodem od 1. 9. 2019 mění smluvní podmínky. Z nich vyplývá, že firma zavede okamžité platby, platby mobilem a přinese ještě aplikaci Mobilní klíč, která bude určena ke schvalování online plateb kartou (dle nové euroregulace).
