Nová generace grafik Nvidie je už opravdu za dveřmi – CEO Jen-Hsun Huang už oznámil slavnostní odhalení, kde je předvede, a první highendový model se začal objevovat v e-shopech.

Nová generace herních grafik Nvidia se 4nm čipy a architekturou nazvanou Lovelace (není ale vyloučeno, že bude použito alternativní označení Ada) přichází. Zatím se informace o těchto kartách objevovaly jen v únicích od twitterových leakerů, ale evidentně už se teď chystá odhalení a možná předobjednávky. Nvidia totiž začala lákat na odhalovací konferenci či online přenos a v obchodech se začala objevovat první karta: RTX 4090.

První objevení se nové generace grafik v katalozích obchodů se událo v Austrálii, kde se ho dopustili prodejci PCAOS a Computers Perth, a ve Vietnamu, kde nevydržel čekat obchod Kccshop. V obou případech jde o únik karet vyráběných firmou Gigabyte, takže může jít o spolu související známky toho, jak zrovna tyto karty míří do distribuce či se objevily v objednávkových systémech distributorů.

Asi je tím potvrzeno, že první vydaný model nové generace je GeForce RTX 4090. Gigabyte bude nabízet například karty GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming OC (ta by, zdá se, mohla mít kód N4090GAMING OC-24GD), kterou mají v katalogu Australané za částku odpovídající zhruba 2600 americkým dolarům. Protože jde ale asi jen o předběžný nástřel, neberte to zatím jako doklad, že cena by měla být takto vysoká. Reálně může být mnohem lepší.

Další modely prozrazené ve Vietnamu budou N4090WF3-24GD (karta v provedení s chladičem WindForce 3) a N4090AORUS M-24GD (což by snad měla být karta RTX 4090 Aorus Master). Přípona 24GD znamená 24 GB paměti GDDR6X, což je zřejmě potvrzení kapacity, kterou bude RTX 4090 vybavená.

Oznámení specifikací, ceny a doby, kdy se tato grafika začne prodávat, by mělo asi přijít 20. 9. Nvidia na tento den avizovala akci nazvanou GeForce Beyond (na „sociálech“ se ovšem objevil také slogan Project Beyond) a již podle názvu půjde o akci zaměřenou na herní GPU. Je pravděpodobné, že by mohly být odhalené i další modely, ale ty mohou jít do prodeje později, takže ze začátku (reálná dostupnost s recenzemi by snad mohly být v říjnu?) by RTX 4090 chvíli byla jediná karta nové generace v obchodech.

Tato odhalovací akce se uskuteční 20. září v 8:00 ráno západoamerického času. U nás by mělo být o devět hodin více – 17:00 středoevropského času.

Takty přes 3 GHz a 20 tisíc bodů v Time Spy Extreme?

Podle předchozích úniků by GeForce RTX 4090 měla být založená na částečně ořezaném čipu AD102, v němž by bylo aktivních 16 384 shaderů (128 bloků SM). 24 GB paměti GDDR6X má běžet na taktu 21,0 GHz efektivně s propustností 1008 GB/s a celá karta má snad mít 450W referenční TDP.

Mezitím se objevil také výsledek této novinky v 3DMarku Time Spy Extreme, podle nějž by mohla dosahovat GPU skóre 20 192 bodů, což mělo být při frekvenci až 3015 MHz. Toto může být přetaktování (ovšem ne nezbytně), a ne běžný provozní takt karty. Ovšem obecně mají čipy Lovelace dosahovat díky 4nm procesu mnohem vyšší frekvence a toto bude doklad.
