Ve čtvrtečním brífinku odpověděl ministr spravedlnosti Pavel Blažek na všechny otázky a nejasnosti týkající se podezřelého daru. Podle jeho slov nic nesvědčí o tom, že by prostředky pocházely z trestné činnosti. Dárce si měl svůj trest řádně odpykat a z transakce nemá žádný výnos, takže se nemůže jednat o legalizaci výnosů z trestné činnosti. Pavel Blažek vnímá dar bitcoinů jako formu pokání dotyčné osoby.

V tiskové konferenci, jejíž celou délku najdete na webu ČT24, Pavel Blažek očekával, že takto velký peněžní obnos se bude vyšetřovat. Ministerstvo spravedlnosti si přišlo nemalé peníze prodejem bitcoinů, které měl v peněžence uložený Úřad pro zastupování státu ve věcech majetkových. Prostřednictvím 78 elektronických aukcí se prodaly bitcoiny v hodnotě téměř miliardy korun (přesně 956,8 milionů korun). O výsledku aukce informovalo ministerstvo spravedlnosti prostřednictvím příspěvku na síti X.

Výtěžek má jít podle serveru Novinky.cz na pomoc obětem trestných činů, při boji s kyberkriminalitou a také pro rozvoj materiálně-technické základny justice a vězeňské služby.

Původ bitcoinů je zahalen mnoha pochybnostmi

Otázky ovšem vzbuzuje samotný původ kryptoměny. Podle Deník N bitcoiny ministerstvu daroval Tomáš Jiříkovský, který byl v roce 2017 odsouzen za zpronevěru, obchod s drogami a nedovolené ozbrojování. Když pak po propuštění v roce 2021 dostal zpět svůj zabavený majetek (včetně elektronické peněženky s asi 1561 bitcoiny), měl nabídnout ministerstvu dar v hodnotě 30 %, tedy asi 468 bitcoinů.

„Někdo vám nabízí bitcoiny, tak si je vezmete. A máte k tomu ještě naprosto jasná rozhodnutí, která říkají, že nepochází z ničeho nelegálního,“ řekl Deníku N k daru Pavel Blažek. Zda ale bitcoiny Tomáš Jiříkovský získal poctivou cestou není zřejmé a je právě šetřením Policie ČR a Národní centrály proti organizovanému zločinu.
