C-Roads je mezinárodní projekt, který má naučit auta spolu komunikovat. Aktuálně probíhá v 18 státech Evropy a v každém je v jiné fázi rozpracovanosti. Primárně bude nejdříve zlehčovat život vozidlům integrovaného záchranného systému. Nejviditelnější výhodou je totiž to, že si hasiči budou moci sami spustit zelenou vlnu místo toho, aby projížděli křižovatky na červenou. Pilotní projekt v Česku právě probíhá v Brně na 31 lokalitách/křižovatkách. V základu jde o to, že jedna část technologie bude ve vozidlech (modul nebo mobilní aplikace) a druhá na konkrétních místech silnic (primárně křižovatky), kde musí být modul instalován někde na sloupu. Na projektu spolupracuje i BKOM, takže to není problém.

Zapnu maják = zelená vlna

První skupinou uživatelů jsou například hasičská auta, která si budou moci autonomně vytvořit zelenou vlnu. V současnosti je takto vybaveno jedno vozidlo a systém se aktivuje při zapnutí majáku. V ten okamžik dojde k broadcastovému vysílání signálu, který zachytí nejbližší instalované moduly. Signál obsahuje polohu GPS a podle ní moduly vyhodnotí, zda se jich zpráva týká. Pokud podle geolokace takové vozidlo vjede to definované oblasti například křižovatky, systém spustí předem nastavený scénář = přepne zelenou pro žádoucí směry.

Další možnou skupinou jsou kamionové flotily, čímž by teoreticky získali lepší informace o dopravní situaci. Autoři projektu si slibují například snížení povinného ručení pro takto vybavené vozy, které by teoreticky mohli méně bourat.

Systém má kromě upozornění na kolonu či špatné počasí (což zobrazuje i těch pár cedulí na dálnici) umět vyslat signál, pokud před vámi začne nějaké vozidlo prudce brzdit (a pokud bude také vybaveno stejnou technologií).

Velkou uživatelskou skupinou je veřejnost, které se týká spíše mobilní aplikace. Dnes lidé používají aplikace typu Waze nebo Google Maps, což systém C-Roads nemá ambici nahradit. Hardwarový modul si v současnosti nepořídí asi ani velký nadšenec, ale od příštího roku by jím měla být vybavena nově vyráběná vozidla. Na projektu totiž spolupracuje například i Škoda Auto.

Lokalit, kde tyto kooperativní systémy (C-ITS) fungují, je v Česku více a zahrnuje i železniční přejezdy. Jde i o pár míst na dálnicích D1, D5 a D11. Systém nemá hlásit jen nehody, ale i potenciálně nebezpečná místa (přejezdy bez závor, silnice u škol), kde se zatím nic nestalo. Aplikace preventivně pípne, aby si řidič dával pozor. Kromě automobilů má systém pomoci i městské hromadné dopravě. Tramvaje systém zelené vlny do určité míry zvládají, více by se měl zaměřit na autobusy.

Na systému pracují i dva čeští operátoři. T-Mobile zajišťuje spojení mezi moduly, například dopravní zácpy (získané na stejném principu jako v případě Google Maps) a testování technologie LTE-V (C-V2X), která je určena právě pro komunikaci mezi vozidly a infrastrukturou. V budoucnu ale bude hlavní zřejmě 5G.

O2 zase vyvíjí aplikaci, kterou mohou řidiči používat místo hardwarového modulu (ten vyvíjí také). Na rozdíl od dnešních řešení bude třeba umět upozornit na blížící se vozidlo IZS za vámi nebo dá vědět, že na přejezd, ke kterému se blížíte, se z druhé strany blíží také vlak.

Zatímco Waze je soukromá aplikace, C-Roads je projektem napříč firmami, státními úřady i státy samotnými. Pravděpodobně vás nebude upozorňovat na radary, ale díky budované hardwarové základně má mnohem větší ambice. Pořád jde však o další asistenční systém, který má řidičům zlehčovat život (a jako každý takový systém je trochu odnaučit řídit dobře sami). Když se ale vrátím na začátek, tak zelená vlna pro hasiče je neoddiskutovatelně správnou cestou a brzdícímu autu na dálnici se možná vyhnete vy, ale ostatní?
